There is one Beach Break, the Weligama Beach Break (best for beginners), while the Reef breaks are Kabalana, Midigama, Ram's Point, Plantation Point, and Two Secrets Point.

The town's beach break is a hotspot for surfing and is tailor-made for beginners. The secondary swell that rolls in at chest height is perfect for those taking on lessons or just beginning to take on the waves on their own. Meanwhile, more experienced riders can enjoy double overheads and rather quick rides out back, even when it's a more chill swell on the secondary.
